Exquisitely
made balloon characters
representing nations from
around the world, rode in
the eight victory seats
of "Ferri's
Wheel" to win first
place in the IBAC 2003
Large Sculpture Contest.
The wonderfully whimsical
"Ferri's Wheel"
seats were made from 16
RMS 2' Hearts. RMS 3'
Hearts decorated the
sides of "Ferri's
Wheel" and hid the
ends of the axle. Metal
tubes actually passed
through inflated yellow
balloons to frame the
motorized turning
structure. The base was
dressed up as a flower
garden to complete the
fabulous fantasy.
First
place was well deserved
for the engineering as
well as artistic
accomplishment of Micro
Ferri, Vanessa Lever, and
a well coordinated team
from Italy. Many, many
congratulations!
On a
personal
note...............
While
Rouse International did
nothing more than to
provide RMS product for
"Ferri's
Wheel", the Itlaian
win was a particularly
sweet victory for us as
well. We appreciate any
use of our product in the
competition, but to have
a first place large
sculpture winner which
featured RMS, is just
over the top! Grazie
